Finally pushed though my slump and got a shot of motivation when I was able to hear the 289 come to life. I threw together some temporary wiring to get things hooked up like the 3G alt and the new mini starter. I first fired it up with an external starter trigger on the starter and running a 12 volt wire to the positive side of the coil. Once I heard it run, I worked on some more wiring to get it to fire with the key. With the cooling system non existent at this time it was only a few quick runs but I was able to verify everything working. Short video proof.....

Tried to see if the stock accelerator cable I got from Rob(66gt350) out of a 5.0 would work for my efi swap. When I installed it the accelerator pedal was higher than the brake pedal. Not sure how to make it work. Maybe I just need to break down and buy the lokar cable.
Covered it back up and cursed at it again.
