What did you get done on your Stang today????

You put a hood on yourself??? That's got to be one of the worst jobs with new paint, no doubt!

What did I do today? I dug out a 66 dash cluster, tested an ammeter, removed it, boxed it, and addressed to a certain gal in Texas.

Earlier, our Club went on a true cruise to Tallahassee to the Antique Auto Museum (not that good, to tell you the truth), where the original Batman car is, along with two movie cars as well. They had a 1893 Duryea with hand-drawn drawings by Duryea on the undercarriage. I doubt the date, as there was only one built, and it's not in Tallahassee. They also claim to have a 1894 model, but the first production models wasn't until 1898. No explanation for the discrepancies in the museum. They also claim to have a horse-drawn hearse that "supposedly" carried Lincoln's body back home. Yeah, right...just like every old inn on the East Coast claims that Washington slept there.

I am using them both. Has to be neutral to start, reverse lights operate.

Yup, all by myself! I had to use some broom sticks though to keep it up while I tightened down bolts. Luckily I didn't have to to worry about mucking up a paint job. lol Gert is already covered in scratched and dings!

I put my hood on by myself too after my engine swap.
Holy crap was that a bad idea. I just about killed myself and I did scratch the underside of it a bit.

I can't help myself.. I'm on a roll today!! Went back into the garage tonight and did a little more.

I hooked the battery up and turned the key to ON.. and OMG I HAVE WORKING WIRES!!!! :yah :yah :yah

Nothing blew up, or caught on fire! :pbj Omg omg omg.. what else can I go do?!! I'm motivated baby!!! lol

thanks! really wanted to run a neutral safety switch. haven't decided on the b/u lights yet. thought seriously about removing those & cleaning up the rear valance a little. never had an older mustang where they worked, so really wouldn't miss them if they were gone.

taped up all the openings on the t-5 yesterday, put it in the blasting cabinet & knocked all the crap from the fire off of it, then painted it gray. also picked up the new tailshaft seal & ordered the new brake booster. will pick up the booster tomorrow & get it painted then i should have everything in place to do the brake/trans swap except having the rotors turned again. had just had them turned a week before the fire, but they got wet & rusted up....

Sorry, just drove the heck out of the turd yesterday. Today gonna drive Red today unless the daughter steps up.

Built a nice 31 spline 8.8 rearend for a Camaro. Wait, that doesn't count. Dang heater broke down in the garage and I moved to a warmer climate, like the couch in the house. The girls are watching chick flicks and had the remote first. Hopefully I'll fall asleep.

Got fuel pump issue solved. Decided to try and put the weather stripping around windshield and I got it on! :yah

My tool to get it on... believe it or not, a butter knife. Hey, it worked didn't it? :beer

I just still need to install the trim clips around the windshield before I attempt to put it in. Or maybe not? I don't have new trim yet so seems almost pointless to put the clips on now when eventually it all has to come off when I get it painted. No point putting trim on and risk it getting scratched or bent before the car is painted.

Did some wiring but mostly cleaning and pondering my next move...

Man that's a nice looking bay Ryan.

Ryan,
Sure hope you're not making a trailer queen. That engine bay is way to "pretty" to ever consider getting soiled. Just sayin'.
