All I've done recently is drive it to work. It's pushing 105 today. Too hot to work out in the shop at night.

All back together now. No drips, no leaks. Temp gauge is rock solid middle of the gauge. Claiming victory so far..... :roul
Tonight's cruise night is close to home, so won't get a real test yet. Pictures coming later.

As mentioned a few weeks ago. I charged the A/C, and it still works...

HOWEVER, when driving on the 100* days, the engine temp kept creeping up uncomfortably high. It did this both at idle and driving 70 mph on the highway, so the radiator was the prime suspect. Ordered a new HD Alum radiator last week, and it arrived.

In the mean time, the PS had starting leaking, which I tracked down to a 4 month old pressure hose - leaking at the fitting, between the fitting and the metal line. At least Oreilly Auto has a lifetime warranty on these, so I exchanged it. You have to pull the rack & pinion back out of the car to even get to it, so lots of fun there. New hose installed, we'll see how this one does.

Then came time to swap the radiator. System was tight, no leaks, no fluid usage. Started draining and unbolting stuff. When I pulled the radiator cap off, I got a 2nd drip of coolant started. :wtf Yeah, the weep hole on the water pump now had a steady stream coming out of it. Never seen one do THAT before. Called and got a new water pump on the way this afternoon. Now it's too hot in the garage to put it all back together... That will wait until tomorrow morning now. :hs

If it's not one thing, it's another. :shrug

Today i removed the points from my ignition and put a Crane XR-i Ignition Module back in. Added also a new ps20 crane coil. (No ignition box)

Tested the spark power before / after the build with a scope. The spark power output is a little bit higher but more important much more constantly in height!

After giving the spark plugs more gap, timing check, idle re-adjustment on my holley i did a long test drive and WOW :thu what a difference! The power build up from low rpms is feeling better and very smoothly.

I`m really happy with it! :yah

I drove it to dinner with the family tonight. It has been so busy I haven't had much time to drive the car this summer.

Took my 620 springs off and cut them a half coil. Almost got everything back together before it was too hot. I will finish up Monday morning.

Everyone, except for CraigII, seems to be forgetting the Golden Rule here lately....
This rule? One must pick on (choose one:) SilverBlueBP, Kat, KBMWRS, or AZPete.

You're just jealous because all you attract are mosquitoes and sand fleas.

I changed my stock 40year old spring for some 620 Spring that I cut a half coil off. What to you think of the ride height now?

Before

After (also went with 4.5 leaf mid eye rear springs)

Got it aligned. I like it much Better.

Must be a illusion but the left rear looks higher over the tire than the right rear side ?? Or did you grocery shopping on the way to Venture :shrug

put the cover on it in the garage, where it will probably rest till it is picked up in a few weeks by the new owner for its trip to England.

Driver's side shot is a 'before'... passenger side shot is 'after'... with 620s minus 1/2 coil and 4.5 leaf mid-eyes.
