I just got a refund check from the California DMV yesterday for $45, which is the amount of the application fee to put the California Black Plates on the car. I'm guessing I'll receive a rejection letter in the next couple days. I'm guessing it'll be because my plates had a '67 sticker on them. That is SOOOO stupid, as that is the year that would be on it the year after it was bought. I can understand them scratching their head over a '69 since it could never have had a '67 sticker, but all the previous years could have one!
I'll have to decide if I'm going to put a '66 sticker on and try again, or just give them to my daughter and put them on her '67.
