KYB Gas-A-Just shock absorbers for the Fastback

I'd put a dab of grease on top of the stops, and I'd draw a thick chalk line all the way across the top of the wheel wells as a start... Another area that often rubs is the inside front of the wheel well, so a bit of chalk there too...

If the grease does not transfer to the top of the axle, you are not "bottoming out" the suspension; something else is causing interference.

Ingenious. I'll try these out this weekend, thanks!

I had KYB's for a while, and while they handled great, they were very stiff. On crappy roads, they were stiff enough to cause the tires to skip over the pavement.

I went from KYB's on stock springs to Edelbrock IAS shocks with 4.5 leaf mid-eyes and Grab-A-Trak 560lb 1" drop coils and the ride improved significantly without losing any body roll control.

It's hard to beat the bang-for-the-buck factory of Gas-A-Justs, but the Edelbrocks are really worth the upgrade. That said, a set of custom-valved Bilsteins from SoT isn't much more expensive, and those are on my wish list:D
