After a long break from working on Mustangs I'm back! My car has recently returned from a 5+ year exile in a storage unit. It now resides in a 20X20 shop I've partially rebuilt over the last 4 months. I've been sitting on the fence for several years talking about doing this and doing that and have now decided to actually do something!
The 3 year plan:
Car gets stripped of everything. Shock towers are going bye bye, engine moves towards the rear, subframe and cage will be constructed, all the old drivetrain wil be upgraded to handle a 500-600hp powerplant, 3 link rear suspension with watts link will be fabricated, new wiring harness will be fabricated, etc. . . Welding starts in the Spring. Basically I'm building a hardcore track car that will see limited street use.
Additionally, I've been out of work since the end of April. I've decided to return to photography. A writer friend of mine, who has travelled all over the world for the last 40 years, made me an offer I cannot refuse. I'll be going along with her to India for 35 days, leaving next month. She has connections with some big publishers and we hope to generate stories and photos for publication in travel magazines and other local mediums. I also plan to have a show here in the Napa Valley sometime in the spring, you will all be invited.
Anyhow, to finance all this madness, I'll be selling off most of the drivetrain parts and I'd like to help out the local crowd so, if you're looking for something, stay tuned to the classifieds. . .
