Fricken fuel sending unit....and it get's even uglier -argh!!

Mind you gumpers, that yesterday I ordered the new "correct" gauge from summit, arriving today and that I have already installed it. Getting ready to reinstall the bezel back into the car. Now I'll drain the remaining driblets (like buening's medical problem) out of the tank so I can go fishing for the filter sock.

I put a new sock on my old sender and decided to keep using it. :nta

I found this thread over at another site awhile ago and saved it for future reference. It talks about installing a small resistor on the back of the autometer fuel gauge to " correct " the signal coming from the aftermarket sending unit. Looks like a very simple fix for this common problem.
