Mind you gumpers, that yesterday I ordered the new "correct" gauge from summit, arriving today and that I have already installed it. Getting ready to reinstall the bezel back into the car. Now I'll drain the remaining driblets (like buening's medical problem) out of the tank so I can go fishing for the filter sock.

Great, you'll be ready for the drive down to Knotts in Shag!

So, nan noo, nan noo to all of ya.

Yeah yeah, so you got the friggin gauge installed. What's left on that ol' whiteboard of to-do's? Have fun putting a sock in it :lol

I found this thread over at another site awhile ago and saved it for future reference. It talks about installing a small resistor on the back of the autometer fuel gauge to " correct " the signal coming from the aftermarket sending unit. Looks like a very simple fix for this common problem.

If by chance you give this a try, please PM me with your results as I have completed my autometer gauge upgrade but have yet to test/install.

Good luck.

Jeff
