Foxbody's are warming up....(???)

I've always liked the look of them but the Calif. smog issue is the reason I stay away.

I was poking along the other day and I spied a trunk car with black wheels. I thought :confu that looks like a sleeper. The closer it got I saw a set of hood pins and a short cowl hood. As it went by it rattled the rear view mirror and there was a gearhead looking dude inside. The wheel/tire combo was wide and looked great on the car, no other mods that I saw. As he took off from the light, I could tell it was a clutch car so it had to be fun to drive. I sure got me thinking, when we burn up all the early cars, those are next in line.

I've always liked the Foxbody's. I had an 85 GT I really loved. That's newest Mustang I have owned come to think of it.

The NPD Fox body cat. has a pic of a local red car on the top left of the inside cover. Every once in a while, one knows a published car.....lol.

I like the 83-84 but I really would have to mod the interior since they are butt ugly! It would have to be a vert too.

I think I'd rather have a 2011 though.

the 2011 Charger looks kind of interesting. Hemi and AWD for the snow here?????

I'd love to get my hands on a 90's foxbody, but the wife already put her foot down and said only one tinker toy at a time. I've found a few in really good shape that I'd like to see sitting in my garage.

I guess I'm in the minority. I dislike Foxbody's and think they are a little on the ugly side. :hide I think it has to do with way back when I was in school my mother had a Ford Escort (late 80's - early 90's model')and I hated that car with a passion. It was ugly, and when she use to drop me off at school, everyone stared. Foxbody's just reminds me too much of my mothers escort.

I would love to pickup another fox. They are fun and easy to mod.
I had 90 and a 92 5.0 lx convertible.

If you'd rolled up in a 5.0, things would have been different... :steer

It's OK, my youngest daughter hates Foxbodies as well. Just a matter of taste. Can't be too many haters - they only sold 'em for 15 years... :shrug

Yup. I'm not a fan of the lx coupes, but I like the lx hatches. I like them more than the gt.

Not a fan of the red interior option either. Every time I see a 5.0 with red interior, I think "pornographer's" car.

Had to drop something off for my daughter at school. Had my Fox coupe (in it's loudest configuration) the "cool" kids were giving thumbs up and trying to get me to spin the tires :thu

I do miss my 84GT. Bought it new and drove the crap out of it till 93. Sold it when I moved to Kansas, it was a sad day.

That isn't saying much since those kids probably thought Vanilla Ice was cool.

FAIL. lol

Stoners listed to him too!! As well as Cyprus Hill, Nirvana, etc... I know. I was a teenager when he was popular. :roll

I haven't done any business with LMR yet. how's the quality/service there?

Most of my Mustang stuff comes from MU, but living close to the CT store makes it nice to actually look at stuff before you buy... I've bought vintage stuff from NPD and would again in a heartbeat!
