Does Anyone Cook Anymore?

The Rescuer
I thought about firing this thread up here.

Having lived in Spain, I get Spanish cuisine videos served up on our favorite social media platforms. I saw one about Basque Cheesecake and it sounded good so I made a gluten free Basque cheesecake (my daughter has celiac disease).

It is like creme brûlée meets cheesecake: creamy, fluffy, custard-like. Subsequently, I doused it in powered sugar and a strawberry sauce.

I used this recepie. My only complaint is that it could use more sugar.

Thought i'd share something i did on a lark years ago that turned out to be & still is a favorite with everybody that comes around when i do it .
Only has 4 ingredients . Salt ,pepper, chicken legs &/ or thighs ( that's all i ever use ) & Dale's steak sauce .
Rinse the chicken & cut off the fat & i'll cut off any big wads of skin ,but only what i have to . Salt & pepper it & put it on a grill . Grill the chicken untill it's cooked .
Pour the Dales in a bowl ,i like a bowl that's kind of shaped like the long end of an egg . Take the chicken & use whatever works for you and saturate it in the Dales then back on the grill. I usuall turn the grill down so it's not so hot or when i used charcoal put it in a cooler place on the grill .
That first time you put it in the Dales won't be much that wants to stay on . I find if i have a lot of chicken by the time i get to the end its time to do it again .
I usually wind up doing this about 4 or 5 times . Maybe more if the chicken is thick . As i keep putting the chicken in the Dales & grilling it i usually try to keep lowering the heat . I find the skin burns if the heat is too high . I can't tell you a time or how hot ,i'm not that guy on a grill .
At my place i've found that about the only way it don't get eat is if i really over cook it but even then one of my girls will still eat it.
They fight over that chicken .
I quit makeing it for a long time because i did'nt want to fire the grill up . But about 3 years back we purchased an air fryer . I had been cooking chicken in it one night & thought i'd try it in the air fryer with the Dale's. Just as good & when it's only us way eaiser . In the South its barbecue everything ,but at my house the Dale's chicken wins everytime . So much so that i have not put barbecue sauce on a piece of grilled chicken in years .
That Dales has a lot of sodium in it so use your own judgement about when you think you have enough . Me i usually eat some there towards the end as a quality control test .They make a low sodium that taste just as good to me .

While your grilling that take you some tomatoes that have just started turning pink . Slice them at least an 1" thick or a little thicker . Salt & pepper & grill them . Great alone but if your grilling hamburgers or steaks they are fantastic .
Sorry no nice picture like the other guys you just use your mind .
