Aligning My Mustang, What do I need

@Ronstang1966, seems like overkill to replace this old bridge over such a small creek :D:p but its awesome anyway! lol

OK schmarty pants. That is a badly dug drainage ditch on both sides of the small road we have to navigate a half mile just to get to the REAL creek, with two 90 degree turns with the road lined with trees on both sides. It took almost 5 hours to move that bridge that half mile.

Those sticks are something his 10 and 13 year old boys put up to play with. I jumped over them as I would have broke them in half if I tried to use it as an actual bridge. ;)

I had a grunt job as a sign holder on a road construction crew when I was 17. Boss said "who's got a drivers license?" I raised my hand (I must have been the only one lol) He pointed at the water truck and said "drive downtown and find a hydrant and fill up to the top of the sight tube, tool is behind the seat. Don't screw it up."
Biggest thing I had ever driven was my '69 El Camino which fortunately had a 4 speed. Damned if I didn't do exactly as he said, and shocking that I didn't screw it up. He doubled my pay, and I got to drive front end loaders, backhoes, trackhoes, even drove a semi (although slowly in a straight line) was the best thing I ever did, doing what I had no business doing!

Awesome! The rule on the job is "Never say no, just do it!"

This reminds me of the time I was working on the ramp at IAH when I was 21 and although I had driven many different Tugs and hooked up loaders to 747s they were nothing like the 5K gallon fuel truck we had for equipment.

Here is where knowing how to fix things gets you in trouble. The fuel truck was stuck broken down back near the office. The mechanics were too busy on airplanes to worry about it so they radioed in and told the boss "Have Ron look at it, he understands these things, and if he can fix it send him out to fuel."

That damned old truck was a Ford F600 or something from the 60s with a 390 two barrel and a four speed. Sure enough I had it running in short order and then I had to figure out how to drive something bigger and heavier than I ever had. No choice, I was the only option that day. Pretty scarry driving a truck around airplanes that is high enough and heavy enough to remove a wing. But I got it done because I had to.

Quite nerve wracking when that fluid gets sloshing around, I was literally on the edge of my seat.
Boss: "Can you drive that?"
Me: "We're about to find out!"
No lie. I could feel the truck move on turns because of the sloshing fuel. It was a rainy day too but it had dried out except for some rather large puddles. There was one such puddle right at the turn I had to make onto the actual tarmac from the inside service road. I wasn't going fast at all but as soon as the rear tires hit the puddle they hydroplaned or just slid and the back of the truck swung out and all of a sudden I was drifting a 25 ton vehicle in between gateways.

All I could think was if I don't die I am looking for a job tomorrow. Nobody ever said a word as no one of consequence probably saw what happened since I was out of sight of the tower there. I am sure there were people in the terminal that got a good WTF moment.
