What did you get done on your Stang today????

made the long fuel line today. routed it a little differently in the rear. i never liked the way ford routed it out & around the bump stop bracket, so ran the new one around & inside the rail.

finally have everything reassembled up front & ready to set the motor back in. almost have the rear discs assembled (have to track down a fitting or new brake hose tomorrow) & new wheel studs pressed in. also bought some of the new "barricade" ethanol proof fuel hose to hook up the new stainless lines to the tank & pump. hoping the new wheels will be in tomorrow...

Well... looks like Gert's 3rd alignment attempt is done. We'll see how much better it is here in a little bit when I go pick her up. If she makes it home LOL then I will mess around and install the emergency flasher switch and cross my fingers I get working flashing lights. :roll
 
picked up last few parts i needed to finish the brake job & the new wheels came in today! picked up one front & rear to bring home to do some double checking for tires to be ordered tomorrow....

put the fourth and final coat of wax on the stang. Redid a safety check. Tomorrow we leave to catch up to the power tour.

I swapped out the sequential flasher I just bought, replaced the tri-bar headlights, got the rear tires re-balanced, checked the fluids. Still hoping to get the fuel sending unit adjusted before the end of the week so the gauge is more accurate.....

got the brakes finished up to the point of bleeding it. i'll catch the next poor s.o.b. that stops by here to visit & put him to work on the pedal. ended up spending most of the weekend trying to get two connections to stop leaking. finally got pissed last night & made a new line & replaced it. sealed up first try.luckily, it was the short side on the rear diff. saw what the problem was. just my luck, 50 ft of brake line & i end up cutting & flaring where a bad spot was. looked like a small "lump" in the seam that wouldn't flatten out & seal. set the motor back in today & have spent the last 3 hrs trying to get the @#*#$ bolt in the drivers side motor mount. front hole lines right up, slide the bolt in & the rear is off an inch. try prying on it & it moves up too high. gonna leave it alone for a bit before i get mad....
 
Installed the correct "Saleen Pioneer" KEH8100QR stereo and hooked it up to my previously installed correct BP880 equalizer. Looks and sounds awesome! Good thing, since I've driven almost 250 miles in the last 3 days... :steer

Guide coated and blocked both front fenders, no dents found!!! :yah Trunk lid is a different story, looks like I will be driving to Charlotte Saturday to visit NPD for a new one. Old trunk lid has too many small dents for me to fix. All I have left to block are both doors and the new trunk lid when I get it.
 
I got the last 3 pistons setup with the new rings, one head on, the new timing cover put on and the garbage taken out. I hope to have the other head on by the end of the night.

Fix your original. You'll never get a better fit than an original, to the car, part. Period. Dents are easy enough to fix.
