What did you get done on your Stang today????

I got some paint on it today. Hoping to have it done for next weekend's Nostalgia Drags in Hardinsburg KY.

so cool! are you going to sand on it to fade it or just leave it alone? either way, very cool!!! :thu

I think that I am going to leave it alone for now. Too much work to sand it off. Funny how things change after you put some work in.

I guess you could say it technically doesn't count as getting something done to the car, but my new shocks for it came in today. :yah

I got a complete set of KYB GR2/Excel G's for it. Good news is because they are the newer Excel G's, they're already painted black! From the different comments/reviews I've read on them, they sounded like they would give the ride and performance I want without the harshness of the Gas-A-Just's. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I got my 30 lb injectors back from getting flow checked and new filters put in, and I yanked out the 24 pounders and got the 30 pounders installed. I also updated the computer program to accommodate the new injectors.

Got the drag radials mounted, installed a rev limiter, tuned the 750 Edelbrock out a little - I'm taking her to the DRAGS!

Any guesses on ET?

It ought to run well. How do you like your 393 Stroker? I am up in the air between a 393 and a 408. Your car looks badass in Orange. Where are you gonna drag it?

First time? Any experience? I'll go with 12.7 guessing this isn't your first time on the track

Sure seems much easier to just buy a set already made.

And next Craig will be loading the Mustang on trailers and pulling them to car shows too....

:wtf

I built the 393 shortly after the cheep cranks started appearing - this combo predates the 408 in popularity, but today, with the better rod ratio and easier balancing of the 408, I'd go with the 408. Not many people are building the 393 anymore.

I didn't look to see what trans you are running but I will guess 12.1@117 for a first time out.

Painted the front nose parts & hood scoop, installed dash pad, and overhead console the past 2 days. Only pieces left to paint are fenders and hood, then stripe time :yah

Back from the track - 4 passes - not a good night. Carb still giving me problems, and in fact I could not keep it idling by the end of the night.

13.8@103mph

I've got work to do...
