With the help of my daughters (16+18), I got the hood on the car. For the first time in 6 years the car has all it's sheetmetal in place. The pics are a litle dark but so's my garage lol.

Thanks! It's getting there. Today I installed the sequential LED taillights. They went in real easy and holy crap are they bright. Stone me...........no pics. :hide
 
I finally got around to shortening the rod for the power cut-off switch located in my trunk.

When I go to the drag strip ot only takes a minute or two to remove one of the tail light bezels and thread the rod into the hiem joint attatched to the summit cut off switch. I also turned the diameter down 1/16" or so for smoother operation.

Got the toploader back in the car, cleaned up the engine bay, re-installed the intake and then made some guide bolts for mating the motor to the bell housing. I also cut and threaded 4 Grade 5 bolts and Locktite'd them into the engine for the motor mounts. Gonna see if this makes it easier to mate up with the TCP motor mounts when I install the engine. All that's left is to put the flywheel, clutch and PP back on and dump the motor back into the engine bay.

I also removed the passenger seat, brace and harness since everyone is too chicken to ride. That'll give me more room and more options to mount the in-car camera. It also gets rid of around 20 lbs, which is a lot easier than dieting!
 
I got my fender lips rolled and sound deadening installed in my trunk. I went with Second Skin Dampler Pro, Specturn and Luxory liner. Seems to have made a difference for just the little bit I got done. Also, Wheels aren't rubbing anymore.. I say it was a good Sunday afternoon.

you need to get a full sized cardboard blow up of your new av pic & mount it in the pass side!
 
I detailed the car this weekend. It will be in the Portland Roadster show in 2 weeks. Some really nice cars there so I want to do the extra things that make a difference.
 
Well since it was 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky today and I was not working, I took a drive out over the Ocklawaha bridge and out into the Ocala National forest. Beautiful day and a great ride. Not ocean side, but still a great ride.

All I can say is wow. Finished the install of the Reenmachine 4 bulb upgrade tonight and what a difference!

Combined with the sequential led tailight upgrade, I'll feel better about my visibility and the visibility to others lol, safety first.

I have the H4 bulbs in my 67 with the reenmachine harness and relay kit along with all LED bulbs for everything turn signal front and hood, reverse parking light, and dash; they are great. I don't worry a out night driving at all.
 
I managed to get a couple of hours today to keep plugging along on grinding and checking welds around the engine bay. On the plus side, I think the welds are looking better. On the negative side I feel like I'm not making any progress. Hopefully it'll feel better next week.
 
Today I went to auto parts store and picked up some lock nuts for my wheel bearings. Got those put on.

Also picked up a new lower hose for the radiator as mine was leaking. Took my old one with me and got a new one. Got home, put it on and STILL leaked. Ok take it back to the store and exchange it for a smaller diameter one. Tried that one on and no more leaks. That I can see anyway.

I also replaced all the spark plug wires with blue & black ones. Heck with ugly yellow and red!

Tried to figure out why tail lights flicker so I double checked the bulbs, ground, made sure nothing was loose. Figured why not and replaced the voltage regulator as well.

Put on my new 3" air filter.

Ordered my rear wheels.


Good day except the amount of times I had to run to the parts store in one day! :thu
