What did you get done on your Stang today????

got the driver seat base recovered witht he sport seat conversion foam and vinyl. My hands really hurt. I hope to get the seat back done tomorrow.

Finally got back on the Mustang after a bout with malari-pneumonia or what ever the hell is going around.

Got the Borgeson box in today with no major issues. Had to clearance one pipe on the header and jack the left side of the engine up an inch to get the header back in but no big surprises. The pressure hose could be a couple inches longer to give you a little more ability to route away from the exhaust but I think it'll be fine.

Also got the A/C hoses and heater hoses installed. Put a 30 minute vacuum and a 15 minute leak test. Passed. Charged it up and will test the A/C and P/S tomorrow after I get the temp sender moved and top of the cooling system.

When I finish that up, I'll put the new adjustable strut rods in and box the lower control arms. After re-aligning it, I should be pretty much done with the latest upgrades. Oh yeah, I have to final adjust the headlights too.

Stripped the driver seat back. Sanded the springs and painted black. Tomorrow I will do the assembly and add headrest and the new sport seat foam.

I aired up Murphy's tires and fit the new car cover on him. I'm driving Murphy to our big show this weekend! ;)

Bolted the street avenger down, Put the Starter on And Put the Long tube's on Then checked Underneath the car

Crap, The exhaust will not clear the new crossmember!, I remembered i put a 351W in and it has a taller deck. Looks like I'll need a different set of manifolds.

not my mustang, but had mrs jonk67's mustang here this week to fix a couple spots in the qtr panel.

Well I finally got back on the horse again today. :yah
It's been sitting covered up so long I forgot what it looked like.

It was a good day/bad day kind of thing.

I tried to manually turn over the motor and it was frozen. So I took all the plugs out and sprayed some WD40 in the cylinders and let it sit. After awhile it eventually broke loose and turned over.

While the WD40 was working I Decided to get the drive shaft together. Installed the T5 yoke and test fit it back in. Seems to fit right.

Do I need to have the drive shaft balanced because of the different yoke?

Getting ready for the Knotts show in 2 weeks. I picked up a vibration and with SAC69's help, we determined it's a problem with the tires. Need to have them checked out. Tightened every nut and bolt underneath. The 67 belongs to my friend.

Possibly. Try it first. You'll know if it needs to be done or not. I'd say it more than likely will need it but you could get lucky.

Took a nice test drive to Carmel....This time I drove it back instead of on a flatbed. :roll :thu

Its ready for Knotts. :steer

Replaced the high pressure fuel pump over the weekend. And it didn't leave me high and dry half way to work this morning!! With any luck I've found my problem.

Put in good used original rear seatbelts for the kids.

Changed the oil.

Cut fuel line and put on fuel filter.

Picked up some wheels and tires from some friends. Dropped them off to be mounted.

Good luck!!

Drove one of them (the diamond blue 68) to work today in the rain. We had fun fish tailing in the parking lot (on purpose).

Picked up the balanced tires from the shop. Need to mount them and finish some little stuff and pack for Knotts. Meanwhile, it developed a weird knock up front during cranking cold starts. It goes away when the motor fires. Not sure if it's the new pistons or something else. I'll check the starter.
