One of us newbs here made a thread like this on "that other forum" might have even been me, don't remember or care. Anyway, sometimes it's interesting to see what our fellow motorheads are up to while not wrenching on their cars.
Used to post up about my daily builds on that other site but no sense doing that anymore. Not sure if there's any interest here or not. But I'll try it...
Shop needed a new die set for bending 3/4" Stainless bar into hooks for a special job. They do these by the hundreds and weld them to a hanger. The old die set finally bit the dust from abuse on a 200 ton press and people who didn't understand how force can work against you.
I designed a new die set that will take more abuse and put out a better product, then went about making it. Not done yet but I've made some serious progress.

A2 tool steel 1.600" thick in its anealed RC30 state, about to be cut into my drawn shapes on the waterjet cutter.

Had to waterjet out some aluminum holding jigs to hold the parts in the CNC mill. Next week I'll have to surface the complex shapes into them.
