Well That Was Stupid

Was working in the garage last night on the carb on my M code. Took the bowls off the carb to lean it down a bit. When I got the bowls off they were kind of dirty inside so I figured I would soak them in some carb acid. So I got a pan of the carb acid (1st mistake) and put the bowls in it. I set the pan on the back of my car haul that has a slanted bed (2nd mistake). Not thinking I had the shaker off the car sitting right under where the pan of carb acid was sitting (3rd mistake). So I thought I would go up to the house for awhile. Came back down to put the carb back together. Well while I was gone a can of spray paint I had sitting on the bed of the hauler rolled down hit the pan of carb acid and dumped it on top of the shaker. When I looked down the paint on the shaker was bubbling. I was about half sick. So I was up until 2:30 this morning bead blasting the shaker so I could take it down and have my body shop repaint it. They have the one for the R code so he can do them both at the same time. Just my luck as of late.

Wow :eek

That really sucks! At least you didn't blow your place up while you had stepped away. Good news..... it all can be repaired!
