Welcome jimsmustang

:cry Hi Iam Jim i have just bought a 66 fastback basket case race car,the little i know of the car
It was inported into England in 1973 as a race car it needs total restoration,it came with 2 race engines 3 toploader gearboxes and a alloy sideloader, fibreglass wings, doors bonnet and boot,14inch wide wheels and loads of rust and massive 4 pot disc brakes back and front
A guy from Ireland Johnny said you were a great group of Guys and Ladies, and knew all there is to know about early Mustangs,I know nothing and hope i can call on your advice on the rebiuld and try to find out any USA rece history
Jim

Welcome aboard. In my gallery you'll see pictures of my '66 that started out as a basket case "shell" that went from this...

Jim,

I kinda lucked out...... the previous owner had already purchased new doors, hood, fenders, etc. when I purchased the "work in progress". I used most of these items when building the car, but of course had to buy a lot more odds and ends.... even when you think you've bought every possible item to finish the car you'll find that you're still missing something.... it never fails.

You shouldn't use me as an example of how long it takes to get from start to finish. I have an OCD when it comes to working on projects/project cars. I bought the car in June and was driving it (as pictured in my sig picture) the following February.... a little over 8 months.... of 16 hour a day Saturday/Sundays and 4-5 hours after work each M-F. It should take a "normal" person much longer.

Welcome aboard Jim!! Sounds like you have a heck of a car there. What are your plans? Street car, track car or a little of both?
