Hi Everyone
It seems that they may discharge Uncle Vinny
tomorrow (Wed: 2/13).
They will check his walking / and going up steps in the morning
and make a decision then. But...it looks promising
He is off oxygen completely...no more morphine,
he is able to cough without the pillow.
Personally...I think they are releasing him a day
too soon since he has not walked in 7 days and
his legs hurt bad from the gout flare up.
I will find out tomorrow if they approve some
kind of home care / therapist visits, etc.
These folks are like "ghosts"...they appear, say
something, then go "poof" and just disappear
I had to make a little noise to get the Case Manager
and therapist into his room today. Hunting these
folks down sure was a chore. They certainly make it
difficult to get some straight answers.
Hopefully, I'll get whatever info I need tomorrow
After sitting in the vet's parking lot for about 3/4 of an hour,
I was able to compose myself and bring Miss Gypsy home
It was very very hard as many of you know to carry a
velvet bag with a small box in it. Vin broke down in the
hospital when I told him....it was heartbreaking to see.
So...I'll let you all know the decision the hospital makes
tomorrow.
He received Flysure's card and Bobby V's card
at the hospital. A card from Steve Leslie from Hawaii, and
DeLaMora's card both came to the house.
Yes...the Balloons were a big hit since they came from
a bunch of car guys from all around the country. The
hospital was quite impressed with your thoughfulness
and they were quite the "buzz" !!!
All Uncle Vinny keeps saying is: "I guess they like me
even though I'm the old guy" !!!!
