Today's Downtime

We had unscheduled downtime (which is computer geek speak for "it got broke.") due to some slow code that was part of our "ENotify" package

The "ENotify" package was the code that put the nifty little "notification" windows up. So you'd be reading one post and see "So-n-so has replied to the Thong Thread!" pop up over on the right. Cool stuff, but it was killing our site, and in response, our host shut us down until we could fix it.

Sluggo and I worked through the issues, and uninstalled that package...so no longer will you get the nifty notifications, but hopefully, you'll still get the StangFix!!!

Sorry for the problems, but all should be good now. Thanks to Jeremy for alerting Sluggo and I, who were both busy with work and were completely unaware of the issues.

Those notification windows were annoying as hell anyway. I, for one, am glad they're gone! :yah
 
I use my email for the instant notification of replies, so the windows to the right being removed isn't a biggie to me. Keep up the good work fellas! The site looks great :)
 
I'm still missing the "go to" box that WAS at the bottom of each section....so I could 'jump' to another section. Is it something at my end?
Now I need to 'click' on 'Forums' to get to any other section.
 
Add me to the glad list. I never noticed the site was down as I spent the whole morning in the woods. Nice and peaceful, watched the sun come up, saw a buck (4 for sure, maybe a 6 so I let him walk) and I just got to work...in the stang. It's been a good day.
 
Thanks for changing the shoutbox too! That thing was freakin' huge. Kinda odd being at the bottom though but it cleaned the page up a lot.
 
Why the long explanation Stevo? Why not just say you spilled your coffee on the keyboard and let it go? Not like we would know the difference :yah

I find the "jump to" box after the last post here....on the right side......above the "quick reply" box.
 
It probably would not hurt for everyone to prune their old PMs and mark old unread threads as read. Those things eat up resources too. That's where the enotify turd found all that info.
