This is a must see video, not one of the cornball ones, I am serious on this one

Ive witnessed one of these going off at tech when i was in school. Sounds like a cannon going off and as video show's just little cuts can happen to ur fingers.
 
Great creation!

However after 30 years of wood working, I would say there is no replacement for safe practices! I still have all 10 fingers and only one accident 29 years ago causing stitches and that was with a hand chisel.

Looks like there is some sort of explosive charge that shoots the brake into place at that moment. Talk about a one shot deal.
Agreed. Nothing takes the place of good safety measures.
 
We've had Sawstop table saws (8 total) in our manufacturing facility for about the last 3 years and over a dozen injuries have been avoided. Great Product!

I saw that the video I posted was quite a few years old, I wonder what brought it to light again?
