Here it is gentlemen....If you've followed my trail of tears on the forum you'd know that I'm excited to say, yesterday, I purchased a platform I've adored from afar nearly my entire life. Came to learn that this car was owned by a prominent dirt bike rider named "Danny Nunes." As rumor has it, he could diagnose dirt bike issues over the phone. That's legendary talent, folklore, a real builders tale. This car went to his daughter for 20 years, and now to me. I plan to leave it to my kids as well.

Mrs. Nunes was kind enough to find some good roller tires to ease the loading pains. All caps in the trunk at this time. Because they did fail at getting it startup ready, we did reach a mutually agreeable price. It was so hot, these were the only images I grabbed before we loaded it up and got the heck out of dodge. I will share a quick video I'll stitch together later.

My Buddy and I split a 10hr turnaround that turned into 12-14.....u know how that goes. Didn't take long for love to settle in. Struck a deal and loaded her up.

Tried to fire "penny" up yesterday after some bay cleaning and a plug swap; it was a no go. Fresh fuel, starter fluid, new coil, still a no go. Using a clear hose I could see fuel struggling to be sucked up/drawn up into the carb. It never made it. So I've ordered a new cap (old cap brass contacts had black soot), new wires (boot end popped out), and a new fuel pump. At one point I did get a loud pop and a fire.

hmmm how do you guys feel about the new pumps "leg" its a bit longer, would you use it? Recommendations, Pointers, Please.....

New pump (MF0063) & lines starting to take shape. Waiting on edlebrcok 81343 FL Kit to arrive and we go from there I guess....

I'm into thermal gaskets, so I found this cool.



Thanks to hemikiller and my buddy, I realized......I missed the biggest pump. K.I.S.S Removed, pre-wash, awaiting rebuild kit.

Stop using starting fluid. Get a small squeeze bottle and fill the fuel bowls through the vents. Work the throttle until you get solid streams of fuel through the acc. pump discharge nozzles, then try to start it.

I also agree the starter and it's wiring are suspect.
