The Green Weenie returns, finally back from the shop.

Well it's been almost 3 years since a Buick tried to remove the front end from my car, last Thursday I picked it up from the shop. Well you know what they say about absence, I have fallen for her all over again. I can not wait to get back on the road.

Since my garage is trashed right now (long story) we brought her to my Dad's shop, where she is making all the Mopars jealous.

The garage lights do not do the paint justice, it is amazing in the sunlight. Wish I could take a month off from work to finish her.

Glad to see you got her body back together, wondered what ended up happening with it. What happen to the motor?

The 289 is in temporary retirement, it may end up in very low budget track car build down the road. I am building a 351W for the fastback.

Looks great. Still planning on stripes? I remember a post about stripes sometime last year.

There is a super snake stripe on the car much like the one on your coupe, however it is a ghost stripe and very subtle. You can see it in the close up shot of the rear. It pops in the sun but hides under fluorescent light.

That is without a doubt one of my favorite cars on this site. Glad its back to beautiful.

Looks great Mark! I see that 426 Hemi trying to sneak into the engine bay in the first picture. I believe your Dad also had a '62 or '63 Max Wedge. Is it still in the garage?

Ryan,

The '62 wedge was sold to finance his curent project a '55 Blevedere, the HEMI will go into that. It is pretty radical, the car will appear bone stock, tha is until you hit the key. It has a full air ride chassis and even sports electric exhaust dumps :thu. It's pretty freaking cool!

Thanks Laurie!

WOW, that sounds awesome!!! Look forward to seeing both your projects come together.

I really really like the turn-signal hoods on the 67-68 Mustangs, however the "Shelby" hood scoop looks just awesome on your fastback.

Nice to see the car again. I was just thinking recently what happened to her. Couldn't remember if i saw it last here or that other site.

Wow! Three years already. Unbelievable. What a beautiful car. Mark your ride was always one of my favorites. Love it!
