I completely understand if you don't want to divulge buying price, but I just had to ask what you gave.

OK, now I gotta ask when were these pics taken in reference to when the video was takened? The video shows a car decently clean semi running car yet the pics makes it look like the car being a barn find and it is being pushed from the (Connecticut's style) barn right to a tow rig headed for Calif?

Still looks like a fun car to work on, if ya like 67's - LOL

Cmayna,
The car sat in the garage/barn pictured (the Bronx) from 1982 until June of 2010. The gentlemen who sold me the car spent 6 months "bringing it back to life" and I am independently verifying what that means everyday. So far it looks like he replaced the shock bearings, some trim pieces, the front bumper, flushed the fuel tanks, new battery, and other odds/ends. The pictures show the day he loaded it for CT. 6 months later, he Ebayed it and made the YouTube video. Days later, it arrived at my doorstep. I have the registration from 1978, and the windshield has NY emissions good thru 1984. Everything else is a new discovery every time I dig into the car. Starting with a worn water pump bearing...

PM'ed you. No issues divulging to existing forum members.

Ha! Hey be nice!! Not completely new to machines, so I won't fall for that one, but I'll take a couple licks for being new. It doesn't take much. I had to google "spring shackles" last week, since they are on the car.... :roul

It is a good thing that 'shackles' are not in your vocabulary. They are not a suspension upgrade.

No love for the guys that don't live in Cali.. :rant

At least my car came from Cali, that should be worth something.

Welcome to the site.

Both are slightly bent to the left. :hide. I hope it's the only thing I find torqued from drag racing...

Discovery continues. Autolite 115 plugs had super narrow gaps. Replaced. Distributor cap was corroded. Pertronix didn't fit. So, I'm tossing the whole thing for an electronic dist. Water pump has a nice wiggle to it. Will replace after Christmas. Did some research on the shifter. It's a Hurst Ram Rod. Shifts great, but way to close to the radio - a knuckle buster. Will probably temporarily pull the radio until I figure something else out. I have a tire rub issue too. I need to roll the left front fender or find a size just smaller than FR60-14. Anybody know what that might be? 20570-r14?

Hoping to pass CA inspection and registration in Petaluma tomorrow. If I can make it there on my own power...

Then it's on the the windshield replacement and some acid/wool on the side pipes over new year's.

Good times.

This chart Says that would be 235 60 R14, but I have that size on my 67 coupe with no problems. What is the size of your rims and back spacing, that I bet is causing your rubbing.

Good times.

Inspection? Are we referring to CHP because it came from out of state? Just curious.... oh and good luck.

The only "inspection" I can think of is the VIN verification for an out of state car.......so as long as the driver's side fender apron has not been tampered with, it should be a no brainer.

So what is the plan for the Resto? Total rebuild? any changes? Colour?

Or just her up and get her driving?

And Welcome to the best Mustang forum on the web....
