taking apart control valve

Can anybody help me with the disassembly of the control valve? I have all the bolts out that i know off, but the 2 parts of the control valve dont wana seperate. I wana replace the ball stud cause the threads are screwed up on mine.

I don't see it either. Those bolts you already have removed should allow the sections to come apart. Is the gasket missing, ie, the metal could have rusted together?

Did you try pulling the back cover and removing the spool?

Here's an exploded view:

IIRC there is a bronze sleeve (3A754 in the diagram above) that holds the stud in place. It has to be shifted in order to remove the stud. Kinda like how a picture hanger and nail work.

Nope, do you see the shiny bronze looking piece hidden beneath the grease around the base of the ball stud? Thats the sleeve I'm talking about

Here is a picture of the brass sleeve, notice the larger opening at one end. This is how the stud slides out. You need to get this sleeve to shift a few inches so that the larger opening aligns in the control valve housing tube to allow the stud to be removed.

It's be awhile since I've messed with mine, but I'm 99% sure you have to separate the control valve housing tube from the control valve block via 2 bolts, then remove all the crap until you can get the above pictured brass sleeve to slide over enough to remove the ball stud. Hope this helps.

So I have the control valve apart down to where I need remove the ball stud and Im having problems sliding the bronze fitting so I can pull the stud out. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Now you'll have to pull on the long bolt/rod, it will only come out a small distance. You'll see a bunch of holes, in one of those holes there's a pin that has to come out, when you get the pin out you'll be able to unscrew that part from the housing. You should be able to get the ball and sockets and sleeve out than.
