Steering wheel pad / SEM Color Coat [pic]

If anyone is thinking about restoring vinyl interior pieces I can recommend some SEM products. Don't know how it would hold up on something like a seat, but here's what I used when I finally got around to doing my steering wheel pad:

SEM Vinyl Prep (38343)
SEM Color Coat (15013 - Landau Black)

For the plastic I just used some Satin Krylon Fusion for the black and good old Ford Argent (Seymour T-19000-1) for the silver trim. I left the aluminum rings natural.

Didn't turn out half bad considering who was doing the work :p

Now all I need is a new center emblem.
And a horn pad...
And a rimblow switch...
And a restoration on the wheel itself...

nice job! i'll add that it works good on seats too. i've used sem dyes for years. it also works great on metal pieces if you want a satin look or a match for interior trim.
