Is the solenoid located in same place for a 68 as it would be for a 65-66? I replaced Shag's battery apron and need to determine correct location of the solenoid. Any pics and more importantly dimensions would be mucho appreciative.

If you choose for the orig starter solenoid , make sure that the support of the starter solenoid makes very good contact with the sheetmetal where it is mounted to.I serves as a groung for one end of the solenoid.Capice !
