I had a 70 Mach 1 parts car way back in the day and put the tach dash in my 69 sportsroof. I did more than just throw the tach dash in it, I pulled the wiring harness out also. I took harness up to my room in the barracks and modified so that the tach and idiot lights would work. I was dangerous back then, an avionics technician with a wiring diagram. It not only worked, I did the same thing to my 67 coupe, that is modified my main harness for the tach dash. Oh those were the days.

I know that this is not the original intent of your post but, how about everyone chiming in on your topic?

Here's my story...I had a friend who's dad was a gear guy and he had accumulated all sorts of parts. Well, his dad ended up getting a 67 911, I spotted in the classifieds and he unloads all these parts on me including a Boss 302 Oil Cooler, an original SBF magneto distributor, a Detroit Locker, and the a 65 Mustang 4 speed shifter.

I traded the locker for a 59 station wagon 9 inch for my 66 Mustang Coupe...that's all I remember. After I moved out of my parent's house, I lost track of all the other parts! Bet that oil cooler and mag are worth a pretty penny today!

I did have the chance to buy an orig 73 mach 1 with a 429 cid in it........for 5000 euro...here in Belgium.... :wor :wor
Didn't know then that this was an once in a livetime opportunity . :rant :rant
Those where the days !! ( I must say my wife would kill me again for buying it )

I threw in a Edelbrock XF-8 sbf cross ram, rebuilt '65 ft disc brake assemblies including spindles, a '67 9" rear end assembly with a 4:30 traction lock center section AND a '66 original unrebuilt K engine longblock when I sold my nice '65 K coupe (non-original engine) to Mustang Ranch in '84 (?). I wanted out of the classic's, having just bought a used '79 Mustang turbo.

Ouch. That's like the guy who sold Craig Yellow Tail.

428 PI aluminum single 4 intake, $125; '66 HiPo dual point distributor, $20; 68 GT Fastback, 390/auto, candy apple red/black, $1900.

Wish I had them back...

70 El Camino SS $1500 - 71 Boss 351 - $1900

both sold in the early 80s....how stupid!

The Boss was totaled a few weeks later!
