Thanks Sluggo! I am humbled though.... some of you guys have some really nice cars. Lauries "trouble", Darrelds 'vert and Jeffs '67FB immediately come to mind.

Stats? Really? You want to go down that road? Alright, you asked for it....

1966 Mustang FB modified (a little bit) to resemble a GT350 car. Other than the cars shell, which had all new metal installed, the only items left from the original car are some of the FG trim pieces in the back seat area, the back glass and the cigaratte lighter.

Engine and Drivetrain

-347 StreetFighter engine
-BBK SSI EFI w/70MM throttle body
-Stock T5
-AL driveshaft
-Narrowed 9" with 3.50 TracLoc
-Mustang Steve cable clutch
-Lokar gas pedal and throttle cable

Exhaust

-FRPP ceramic coated shorties dumping into R model style bullet mufflers and side exits

Heating/Cooling

-Factory heat system/NO AC
-Fluidyne HP series AL radiator

-Front - Rod&CustomMotorsports MII with adjustable front coilovers, tubular UCA/LCA's and 1" sway bar

Interior

-R model type rear shelf

I'm pretty sure I forgot a few things, but that pretty much sums up the parts. The car runs, drives and handles unlike any other classic Mustang I've built/owned. It's more like driving a modern Mustang than driving a classic.

Hey Dave how do you like the 04 seats im planning to check out a power set this weekend.

was it a hard install what type of headroom did you gain or lose

Do you have any other pics of them

Or does any one have them in a 67 68 fastback?

These were a power set... at least the drivers side was. To minimize loss of headroom, the power seat track/motor was removed. Even with the motor removed, these seats sat too high on the stock risers. I had to remove the risers, knock them down an inch or so and then weld them back in. The stock '66 seat tracks (or 67-68) can be easily modified for use with these seats (by using some spacers).

These seats, IMO, look great in a classic Mustang. They're very comfortable and for the money, you can't beat the quality of a factory seat.

ok well i think i'll go pick that set up this weekend then as i need some seats that recline and look good to i'll just recover them in black vinyl later on

See it? Heck I planned on handing you the keys while I'm drinking down there. Just watch for speed bumps and keep the RPMs below 5500 and we'll be alright.

The easiest way to install a rev limiter is to run an MSD box and throw the 6000 RPM chip into it.

Since I'm not running an MSD box, it becomes more difficult. Correct?

I actually had a new MSD 6AL kit sitting on the workbench. If I hadn't gone EFI, I would have used it. Once I started messing with all of the EFI wiring, I brought the MSD kit back. It seemed "un-necessary", and from a seat of the pants feel, I can't see how the MSD would have bettered the stock ignition system.

Downside to all of this.... no easy rev limiter.

How about a MSD DIS4? It may help the ignition. I am guessing its a waist spark ignition.
