Roller Idler Arm Conversion

Quick turn idler, grab-a-trac roller idler arm kit. I like the kit, went together great.

First get the bushing out:

Here is the roller kit:

Here is how it goes together:

Rubber washer on the end to keep the grease in:

Grease fitting and grease and it is good to go:

I have the Mustangs Plus item and it is nice indeed....
 
You'll want to hand pack those bearings with grease before installation. That zerk fitting looks cool but they don't work all that well.

Yep, put it together, tried the fitting and grease came out the lower spacer, wasn't convinced it getting up top, took it apart and the cavity was filled, but had no grease at the top bearing, hand packed both and put it back together...
 
:good . . . I pull ours apart every couple of years and re-pack the bearings. I stopped trying to use that grease fitting a long time ago.
