Repo Hood Hinge Quality?

Has anybody used repo hood hinge assemblies for a 65-6? How do they compare in quality to the originals? I need one hinge for my passenger side and after purchasing 2 bent units on ebay I am sick of buying used... if you have had good luck can you reccomend which supplier you got them from..

Thanks,
dm289

I have bought 2 set and 1 hinge needed a rivet welded in. It came apart after a couple years. That means 3 out of 4 hinges have been OK for 2 years.

I have what I believe to be an original set off a 67 that I probably won't be using. I would sell them if you are interested and they would work for your 66.

65-66 are the same, but 67-70 are different.

Does anybody know if the hinges sold by CJ Pony are Scott Drake??? How about NPD?? I prefer to buy from those two vendors... thanks, Dan

I have the Dynacorn ones on my 68 right now. They're not bad, but I'm not thrilled with them either. I'd put them on par though with used originals in flex/looseness.

Supposedly Dynacorn just retooled the hinges and has them now with thicker metal and better rivets. My cost on the new ones is about 50% higher than the previous ones.

I wish those billet hinges weren't so dang expensive. They look cool.. Doesn't seem like it would be hard to make if you had the templates...
