Red '67 coupe

Fall of 2009 we bought a rusty red coupe, $500. I called it the NAG. Got it running and the dog loved riding in the back seat. But I just couldn't bond with the poor ol' thing. We sold it last fall to a young guy who is planning to fix it in his high school shop class, $4000.
I didn't think much more about having a beater coupe. But my sweetheart husband who can't turn down a forelorn Mustang found another abandoned lonely red '67 coupe.
It was the rear end pic in the FOR SALE ad that caught his eye.
We drove 200 miles there and back yesterday to rescue it from a farm field.
It's been sitting since about 1999 (last safety inspection sticker).
It lived in a dry climate, but is full of fine dust.
Has minor rust over the wheel wells but the rockers and floors look great - compared to the previous NAG.
Original C code, now with 4 v 302, auto. Power Steering and Power disk brakes.
Paid $1350.
What also makes this NAG new and improved is that it is deluxe interior with upper and lower consoles. Even the deluxe seat backs are intact. We also particularly like the ribbed tail light panel. So with any luck at all Joyce will be cruisng in her little red NAG this summer. Still have the MUSTNAG license plates from NAG#1, which will go on this new baby.
But since it is EPPERSTANG #13 I think I might just call it LUCKY.

Nice diamond in the ruff, looks like my cars twin except i don't have the lower console. The ribbed tailpanels are hard to find, one thing that sold me on mine.
Looking forward to progress updates.

Nice find Joyce. I have a set of new rocker trim. the piece that goes under the door.

My wife had one very much like that one when we met. Thus the 67 we have now.

It looks to be pretty original. The 302 will be a good DD if you slap an OD trans in there.

I wish our C code had power discs and power steering. Amber had those on her first car and misses them on this car.

Mel we found it pretty close to you. Halfway between Beryl and Enterprise, no man's land!

I see tons of stuff out there. You should see the stuff out by Hanksville!
