Re-restoration in progress for some vintage racing

I spun the old 289 engine to 7,500 for 6 years before it went boom. This engine has a 302 block and bottom end. It’s limited by the 66 OE 289 heads. I’m spinning this one to 7,700 so it’ll last. It’s built to turn 8k+ :D
You should probably let them know it is not a stock Ford cast block
 
As a refresher, the block is a brand new in 2015, Boss 302. Siamese bored, 4 bolt mains, blah blah blah. Expensive internals and internally balanced. That, my friends is why it has not blown up...yet. That and I don't put it together anymore :rolleyes:
 
I went back and re-read this thread. Haven't laughed so hard for so long in a very long time. You guys are great comic relief!
