R.I.P. Billgear

Well that totally sucks, I ran open track events will Bill years ago and we are friends. Damn, that sucks big time.

Rest in peace my friend

I defineately remember him from VMF. Very sorry to hear of this. Just make us remember how human we all are.

I too remember him. How sad to lose another young fellow Mustanger.

I too remember Bill though it's been several years since I last had a chance to visit with him. As I recall, he had recently painted his race car red and confessed that it was a lot more work than he thought it would be. Heartfelt condolences to friends and family.

I'm sorry to hear about this and my condolences and thoughts go to his family and friends. He was always a helpful, knowledgeable, and affable guy. We had some great get-togethers both at Sears Point and at the track up in Williams, CA. (the name eludes me now...Thunderhill, maybe?) He will be missed.

If there is info on the VMF post would someone re-post it here. I have no way of reading VMF since all my IP addresses are banned.
Thanks.
Sorry to read about this.

Some of the old timers on VMF may remember Billgear. Bill passed away last week. 8-(

He was a very active poster on VMF and a pioneer in some of the 'restomod' tweaks that we all take for granted now. He built the red car we use on our banner, it was and still is a beast. Bill was also co-founder of Street or Track with me back in 2003 and worked with me for 4 years until his passions switched from Mustangs back to his life long love of dirt bikes. Typical Bill couldn't leave those stock either, he modified every part imaginable!

We had some really good times over the years. Testing parts at the track, wrenching in the shop, goofing around on jet skis. We took a memorable trip to Indy to watch F1 in 2006. Bill was such a pyro we stopped at every firework shop along the way and had our own July 4th fireworks display at my uncles place. We also had to stop at every indoor go kart track. It took us 10 hours to get ther instead of 5. We had such a good time.

I'll miss you good buddy.

I haven't read as to what happened. Sickness? Accident?

Bill took me for a great few laps at Sears Point some years back. He was a great guy. :thu

Wow. So sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family. I remember him from Ye Olden Days of VMF and he always seemed like one hell of a nice guy. RIP Bill
