I agree. What a terrible ordeal. My thoughts and prayers as well.

That system developed about 30 miles East of us. We were on our way home from a day of dog training and I noticed the cloud bank. I made a comment to Deb it was going to be bad for those East of us. It was nasty looking from the back side, anvil headed clouds everywhere.
My sympathies go out to those in Reading KS, Joplin Mo and the rest.

My GFs sister had her house leveled by this tornado. They lived in a small upstairs apartment and went downs stairs into the garage that is under the apt. The tornado sucked the doors off the building and it then collapsed on top of them. They have a baby thats only a few weeks old. They kept the baby in the hospital overnight and are doing a catscan today. My GFs parents went to the house and could not find them as they had already went to the hospital. They did find their dog buried under a bunch of rubble, alive. They are all pretty banged up, scratches, cuts and a couple broken bones, but they have lost what little they did have. Luckily my GFs parents live close and are able to help them out. Both parents work at the hospital in the next town and worked all night helping people. Its amazing the amount of destruction caused by this tornado.

My Godfather lives in Nixa, Mo and his farm is near Sarcoxie which is just east of Joplin. They had gone to a graduation party the afternoon the tornados showed up and they could not hear anything on the radio due to the high lightning occurance.
They got to where they were going and everyone at the party was concerned - they had arrived like a chicken not knowing wtf was happening.
Needless to day they are ok and made it back to Nixa without issue.
Thoughts and prayers out to all who are affected for a quick recovery!
