So I took my daughter's '67 over to NorCal Motorsports today to talk about straightening the strut rod brackets to make the strut rods fit correctly. Before the guy crawls under the car to look, I told him it's a completely new, completely rollerized front end, so removing the strut rods should be a piece of cake now.
Jason (one of the owners) gets under there and says "WOW! Who did you do all these roller parts? So I had to fess up and give credit where credit is due. "No, John at Open Tracker Racing Products made the upper/lower arms from Moog arms and he made the roller idler arm. He also ordered the strut rods from Shaun at Street or Track for me."
He oooed and awwwed over it a minute and talked about how nice the Open Tracker parts are, ad then Street or Track parts are. Jason claims to know both John and Shaun and sang their praises. He set he's done a couple suspension with their parts, swears by them (as any of us will that have used the 2 of them), and says the ones he's installed, his customers have all been thrilled with.
Jason says he lurks on a couple of forums but tries to keep a low profile on all of them. I'm walking on egg shells with this next statement, but he said he used to lurk a lot on VMF, but felt the people on that forum had just gotten too vindictive, so he doesn't frequent it much anymore. He had definitely heard of us here at StangFix.com, but spends most of his time on CAStang.com these days, because of their size.
