Pandora - 55 F100

Been working on a 55 F100. Its currently at my friends shop getting a Crown Vic front end installed and having the Y block and 3 speed replaced with a 289 and 4r70w

I have already replaced the gauges, a fuse block, added turn signals, tailights, and got the amrker light as turn signals. Ive been adding lighting and made a stereo bracket as well.

Eventually i will paint it Satin Black but i have a lot to do. Need to replace the windshield, drivers side window, and will prob add buckets as well.

I always wondered who it was who thought it was a good idea to take the exhaust from one side of the engine, route it around the front of the engine and dump it into the front of the other exhaust manifold!

Very cool, Yeah...I have the Crown Vic front end being put in and its being moved forward to center in the wheel wells. Thanks for the threads..Im going to have to read up on those
 
Thanks, it will be nice once it gets back to my garage. Ill just have to wait and see if the seats ill have will work. One thing at a time

Had to order some parts...

U joints, rod end holder, Rear sump oil pan kit, and also got some Tri-Y headers
 
The frame is now starting to be setup for the CV swap and the 302 being put together. Love when the shop sends updates. Cant wait to get her back so i can get to work on her myself

I like the idea of the Crown Vic.
my son bought a 05 Lincoln Aviator for the 4 cam engine. He just wants the engine so soon I will have access to a fully independent all wheel drive chassis with an OD trans and four wheel disc brakes. I wonder if a 72 Chevy cab and bed will fit on there?

The Crown Vic and old Ford trucks are 34" frame to Frame. You will need to measure.
 
once we pull this Aviator apart (the motor) I will look into getting the body off the chassis. They actually recommend lifting the body to get the engine out! But the thing has trans cooler, oil cooler, PS cooler, class 3 hitch, huge brakes, etc. Looks like it would make a good truck

That would very very cool. I'd bet it would take alot of work but be worth the effort. Too bad that 65 or 6 f100 slipped by. That would have been a cool build on that chassis.
