Got most of the mustang touch up done today. Just a few more hours next week and it will be done and looks great!!!!

About 15 different areas were touched up by a new painter today he is incredibly talented.

I am very pleased so far.

He can't fit me in again until next Thursday but should be awesome when done.

Great news, Justin. I know a few things needed attention in your paint. I'm happy to hear it's getting sorted out now.

I hope it gives you a kick in the pants to wrap up assembly on your car. I wanna to ride in your car and see the gear vendors unit in action! :guns

Justin,
Very happy that this is getting resolved to your satisfaction. Can't wait to see your beast completed.

Shall we say sometime next year the NorCal SF contingent will have one hell of a 67/8 fastback gang? :scar

Oh I see a photo op coming......by the GG Bridge?

Theres a few rules around here.

1. Without Pics It never Happened.

2. See Rule #1

3. See Rule #2

Lets see some pics on this car, and maybe where you started from! :ecit

Thanks all I am definitely relieved about the job so far! I will post up a whole bunch of before and afters next week after it is back from paint.

Damn.....that is just what I was thinking the other day. Mikey, we need to go up one of these weekends and scout for a spot. I like that spot on the bluffs north of the bridge.

Actually my planned future signature pic will be Shag with the GG in the background as well. How can I NOT do that?

Oops....didn't mean to steal your post Justin.

Can't wait to see some pics or the ride in person.

Hey now, don't forget the 65/66 Coupes. LOL (If I get Selene/Fred ready in time)

Congrats on finalizing the paint. You're in the home stretch.

BTW, another 67-68 Bay Area FB on the road? Ho Hum....They're as plentiful as PT Cruisers. :wm?

+1

The lowly coupe is going to be the "rare" car in the Bay Area, just crustycurmudgeon's and Red, IIRC.

Good job on nearing completion of the car.

Paint is officially done!!!

Is it perfect? No, does it look damn good? Yes!!!

Here is a list of what was done over that last couple weeks.

1) Drip rail molding and pilars touched up the paint that cracked.
2) Deck lid drivers edge rusted sanded and painted
3) Ding and spot under clear on the passenger door touched up
4) Ding/Dent in the left quarter panel extension
5) Clear run in the window post on passenger side
6) Run in the tail panel, right hand side
7) Ding on the hood drivers side edge, and underside of hood latch area.
8) Scratch on the top of the tail panel at the trunk
9) Striker plate area on both doors paint chipped when replaced.

I am very happy, the new painted did an awesome job on touching up. More orange peel in his touch ups than on the rest of the car but that paint match is dead on and I can live with it!!

Pics this weekend!!!!!!
