Our new Focus

Ordered on Nov. 3, arrived on Jan. 5. I know, it's just a Focus but it will allow us to tow it behind our RV with no dolly or trailer. It is a 2010 SES Coupe, 5 speed, with a moon roof, Sterling Grey with Charcoal leather seats. The seats are darker than they look in the pics. It is fully loaded....or as much as one can get on a Focus. It has the sport suspension and exhaust. This thing is fun to drive and we are very pleased with it. Now, just gotta get time to get the hitch on the front to tow it with.

Looks EXACTLY like my future son-in-law's car - same color and everything. He wanted all options and a 5-speed as well. he really wanted the blue, but they could only find the grey in that combination.

Nice looking car.

I probably need to consider buying the wife something like that as a DD at some point in the next couple of years.

If she just goes to the office and back it's roughly 70 miles. If she goes to her office, then out to several clients then home it can easily put 100 miles on her car.

That POS Cruiser she has won't last long with those kinds of miles (she has about 46k on it now) and my Explorer gets better mpg then her car does.

Thanks...

My daughter bought a 2010 Focus 4 door auto sedan in the blue. I was going to get blue but she did so we settled on the grey. Really glad we did now. She is even saying the grey is nice too. She found hers on a lot, we had to order ours. Hardest part around here was finding the 5 speed.

I have a feeling in the next year or so, the Focus is going up in price because of the Fiesta coming out. It will run almost the same price of the current Focus and be smaller all around.

So far, I found third has a chirp option available....

Nice Focus Pete, it's amazing the diff between the 2010 and our 2007!

Mark, Whats all that white stuff, are you trying to build some ground effects/spoilers out of Great stuff on yours?

Doubtful a bra but I will look into the shields that protect the front while towing. Never really cared for bras on good looking things.......

'07 was the last year of that body style. The '08 and up looks like mine. One thing I found odd is Ford eliminated the key lock in the trunk lid. There is an inside release at the drivers position plus the key fob. Then, if all else fails, I guess you can crawl into the trunk with the back seats folded and then pull the emergency release.

Ding, ding, dinnnng...we have a winner! It's a special type of Great Stuff called "winter blend" I'm hoping to gain 5mpg, but I don't think it'll work.

The problem is you did not smooth it out after spraying it on. You must finish the job......

Your new Focus

Nice little Ford that you have there. This past summer we thought about getting one. When I was on vacation out of state with my daughter my SWMBO wanted to trade her AeroStar in during the cash for clunkers thing. I was like wait, wait, wait until we get back. Well she did not go though with it, not because I asked her to wait, because she could not get the 2k and zero percent financing. But I did go to a local stealership and look and pick up a brochure. The thing is you have the Focus that I would want, SWMBO would want the cheapest 4 door on the lot. Needless to say we still have the AeroStar. So when are you packing your bags and leaving? Or are you a step closer now that you have your Focus? fd

One step closer. Gotta get up to Midlife's later this month or so and get the hitch mounted on the front so I can tow it. the plan is leaving Fl. in early April and head for Washington state to see a couple of granddaughters (13 and 16).

I love Washington State....used to spend a lot of time there when I was younger. Some great back pack / camping trips to be had for sure.

Nice new ride! My DD has been an 01 Focus for a bunch a years now and I've been very happy with it. Good luck with it!

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol.....no, being front wheel drive, it will most likely stay stock. That makes it easier to tow behind the RV too.
