Ordered some parts this week

And took a ride out to Mac's in Lockport,ny when I realized I forgot to order the matching locks and ignition set from CJ's. I ordered a new trunk drop off and a Dynacorn Quarter skin for the drivers side. Trunk drop off in stock and shipped on Monday afternoon and arrived on Wednesday morning. The Dynacorn skin said 5 to 7 days to ship and I was cool with that. The only real problem I have with ordering Dynacorn is said shipping practice. If you can stock the so called cheaper versions,Why can't the Dynacorn be stocked also. It turned into a moot point as I got an Email on Thursday saying the panel shipped and I would have it on Saturday. It got here this am.

Gotta love the Dynacorn stuff.Looks like I just have to clip it at the beltline and Line it up with the doorpillar and taillight panel.

As a one time small business man, I'm guessing that CJ's doesn't stock the more expensive stuff because they want to improve their cash flow. If they buy it from Dynacorn and stock it, they have to pay Dynacorn and wait for someone to order it. If they take your order, pass it on to Dynacorn and then Dynacorn ships it directly to you and CJ's pays Dynacorn while retaining their portion of the markup. That means they booked the sale without having invested a cent of their cash flow in the product. Nice deal for CJ's, nice deal for Dynacorn and you already said that it didn't slow down your receipt of the part, so it doesn't impact customer service.

As the warning states...beware of dings/dents. Were there any?

I was shocked that there wasn't one. Part of the cover that it was in did look like Wolverine clawed at it.Whenever I get sheet metal parts,Even before I got my first Digital,I take pictures of opening the boxes they come in. Luckily underneath the cardboard it was straight and smooth.

That edp coating that they use does a good job of hiding minor defects. Once installed, run a longboard with 180 grit sandpaper over the entire surface and you'll likely see a few dings that aren't apparent in the edp coating that you'll swear you didn't do. I was a bit surprised thinking the panels were virtualy perfect when I got Dynacorn door skins for my chebby until I sanded them.
