This car, at Hot August Nights was SICK! Oh, wait ... I meant this car, at Hot August Nights made me SICK!

Item # 1827 that makes me say :wtf

Notice the angle of attack on the steering column? That doesn't even look like it'd be in any way enjoyable to drive.

But that car has way more problems than that. I just cannot accept anything above an 18" rim on a car...and my personal limit stops at 17. And even that makes me crazy to some folks.
 
I don't think to many could reach the pedals with how those seats sit so far back. If the seats were correctly positioned, and the column in place, the interior would not look to bad. The rims and the low slung ride would not work for me at all.
 
Could you imagine having a car built or building a car and the first time you really sit in it when it is done, it feels like it was built for a giant. And nothing is adjustable......
 
do you know any info on who made that thing. It would be neat to see some more, even if it has some problems.
 
What a lame looking autocross circuit... what's the top speed on that course... 30mph? Are all autocross setups this limited?

Should take that car to a real road course.

Are you f'n serious??? That is THE lamest course of any kind I've ever seen. A Kart wouldn't even be fun on that course.

I guess a quickie mart parking lot was unavailable (would be bigger than that course)

I wasnt referring to the go cart track they were racing on, my comment was that the car is a show car, yet he did take it out and beat on it, didnt look or sound as if he was holding a lot back they way he took off and drove the track. Not like he packed it up in a trailer and wait for track day on Wed to chase the slower cars.........

I'd wager he couldn't outrun a pink Cruzer.
 
Seriously, my (original) comment was about the "track" Why have something like that and be so small and tight? It serves no purpose other than to separate money from attendee. A burnout contest would have been more exciting...for fans and driver, IMHO.

To each his own, I'm sure others have the same reaction seeing a 66 trying to keep up with a PT Cruzer :bike
 
I've been to several Goodguys shows and the autocross is all like that. They don't have enough space for a bigger course. Your right too about top speed. A lot of those cars that run a Goodguys autocross couldn't handle a real course. The shows I've been to however get a lot of show cars out on the course, maybe they feel more comfortable not getting high speeds?
Anyway, I like some aspects of the car and it's design. The late model dash and the color scheme of the interior look good. The grille/underhood is art but not my taste. The wheels are stupid, just rediculus but I guess they grab you attention. Looks like a Dub toy car. If some one here photoshops some ProStock or Pro Street wheels and tire on it I bet it would be really cool!
