There really shouldn't be an official place for such plates. Just put them where you want.
 
On the taillight panel or back window?
It would be cool when you discover a StangFix member at a show.
So , maybe discover a fellow StangFix member my car when he attends a car show in europe while he is on vacantion overhere!! Awesome !
 
I am thinking of putting mine in the center of the dash, Just above the radio.
I don't show my engine bay to people so no one would see it there.

And if the hood is down, you're no longer a StangFix member?

I was planning to just lay it on top of the dash when I'm at a show that might have other StangFix members there. I probably wouldn't display it a local cruise-in's and at Hot August Nights.
 
I will use the magnetic backing idea and display it based on my desires at the time. Normal driving, on the dash near the radio or something like that. Shows can be under the hood, on the dash, or any other easy place to put it.
