New shoes for my stang

I have thought about selling my car for about a year but havent done anything to do so. I am now thinking about going a different direction with the car to see if I have different feelings. I liked my wheels when I first got them but now they aren't to my liking and I am thinking about replacing them. I have a couple different wheels that I am thinking about using and want to get someone elses opinion before I do anything.

I am going to stay with 18" wheels in the back and think I will step up to 18's in front. There just seems to be more tire selections in 18's and I can only imagine that it will becomre even more so in the future. I am also thinking about stepping up to a 10" wide wheel in the back and 8" wide in front. That is 1" wider on both ends than my current setup. Advice her is appreciated as well.

Here are a couple choices.
I already have some of these Boze wheels on my Volvo and like them. Not my first choice since I have them on another car but bad ass wheels.

Wheels similiar to these but I can't find an image of the exact wheel. The actual wheels are NewGen Patriots.

Ot the last style in more of "traditional" 5 spoke.

Here is a picture of the NewGen Patriots I pulled off of my phone.

And this is the 3rd wheel option. Also from NewGen.

Out of all those I like the first the best. Looks like something i would have put on my Volvo. The other ones I don't care for. They just don't seem right on classic muscle. Just my. 02

If you device to sell your current wheels let me know. Maybe I would be interested. In looking for a change too.

Second option " lateral G ? " looks cool to me ...if your car has disk brakes up rear too.MHO

Darreld...
I'm definitely for the NewGen Patriots.
Only if your disc brakes are up to snuff. No rust even on the iron areas. Anything will be soooo much more obvious.
But I love them.

I like first set just because i dont feel the other 2 choices fit the style of classic cars.

1968 mustang coupe with 289 and auto trans. Northampton,pa is where i turn my wrench's at.

I really like the Boze Performance wheels, what color are you thinking? I don't care for either of the other selections with that "riveted" look :hide

Thanks for the input you guys. There is another wheel I kind of like more than the others. It is kind of a cross of #1 and #2.

I also did some measuring. With a BFH I as able to adjust the front corner of the rear wheel well for a 5.75" bs wheel to fit. I am using a slightly narrower Granada rear end. I think I should be able to squeeze in a 295 30/35 18 tire in there on a 10" wide wheel.

Well I pulled the trigger on the wheels. I also went down and ordered a couple tire to check clearances. I got a 295/35 and a 245/40 x18 tires.

Once the new wheels arrive and I verify they will fit I will be selling my wheels and tires. If anyone is interested they are 18x9 and 17x8 Boyd Coddingtpn Magneato. Tires are BFG KDW2 and are 275/35 and 225/45. The setup had about 2500 miles on them.

I got my new wheels today. I'm still waiting for the center caps to arrive. The rear tires are 295/35/18 on 10's and the fronts are 245/40/18 on 8" wheels. The tires are Nitto NT05. The wheels are 3 piece units from New Gen Wheels. They did a very nice job on them . I went with a customized design on one of their existing wheels. They have a brushed center and polished lips.

I was going for a more aggressive Pro-Touring type of look. This is the first step in a few big changes I have planned.

I am not sure why tapatalk left the picture that way.

They look nice, btw.

Seems like they would work well on a 69 too...

Thanks for the help with the pictures. I think my Iphone was giving me some problems yesterday that may have caused the problem. They do look good on a 69.

These things are within a 1/4" clearance at so many places it is crazy. I don't think I would have measured any closer to shoehorn these tires under the car. :thum I jacked the car up to compress the suspension and it looks fine but the true test will be when I pull out of the driveway for the first time. :hide

I am sure that you have heard this before, but can you really hear it too many times? That is an awesome looking Mustang convertible. :kneel

Oh yes nice choice on the shoes. :nwort
