My wheels might be in a movie or something

So there's a movie shoot or something going on in town. Well another mustang friend who has a 68 Fastback needed period correct wheels so he borrowed Gertrudes wheels. Anyway, here's a photo from the shoot today. Weather got nasty so rest of it had to be postponed.

Surprisingly they fit over his disc brakes. If they fit over his then they should work with mine. :confu Before I took the wheels off I showed him how tight a fit it was and he said they are about the same on his. He had no issues driving with them on either.

as for the brakes, if his are factory disc (OEM) that's why they fit. I have Granada disc on my car, 14" wheels will fit but not the GT wheels like yours because the hub is bigger in the Granada. The GT wheels won't fit over the hub

Yes Kat, what discs do you have? If the stock Kelsey Hayes then the wheels should fit. If anything else then........

I don't know what discs I have. I got the kit from club guy who bought the kit from Auto City Classic - http://www.autocityclassic.com/
I called them once to find out info but the best info I got from them was "any 69 or later wheels, even 14's.. should fit."

How many pistons do they have the Kelsey hayes have 4 and barely fit under my 14" torq thrust actually hit the lead weight in the rim had to move those for it to spin freely

when you (if you have) try to put on the styled steel GT wheels on your car, what is the issue? Do they rub on the caliper? or will they not fit over the hub? My Granada calipers are single piston but the hub is too big for the early wheels. I can fit 14" wheels though.

The issue is the close, tight fit between the caliper and the inside of the wheel. There's like 1/4 inch, or less, of space. When the 68 owner came over to borrow the wheels for the shoot, I showed him the fit and he said he can't see it touching and it doesn't seem to be rubbing the inside of the wheel so I can probably still use them.

I did mill down the granada's hubs , plenty of material to mill down so the orig S/S wheels will fit.
( this setup is for my 67 convertible which is a problem car )

My first car (a 67) I had the styled steel wheels. I put disc brakes from a 70 Montego and they still fit. But I liked the look of Crager's more

Nice car! I actually like your GT wheels on it better though. Think I'll need a picture of it with the GT wheels and the NAPA girl to be sure though..
