Keeping the Mustang Community Alive

Back on July 27, 2014, @Sluggo entrusted me with helping convert and eventually take over the management of StangFix. Since then, I've done my best to keep the forum online, updated, and available for Mustang enthusiasts who enjoy sharing their passion for these incredible cars.

Like many of us, life gets busy. Between work, family, and everyday responsibilities, the forum didn't always get the attention it deserved. But one thing never changed—my commitment to keeping StangFix alive for the Mustang community.

With retirement getting closer, I finally decided it was time to give the site the attention it deserves. Over the past several months, I've been cleaning things up, removing old clutter, updating the forum software, reorganizing sections, improving the Classifieds, refreshing the overall look, and making StangFix a place where both longtime members and newcomers can enjoy spending time.

The Story Behind the Wicked Stangs Performance Shop Donation Link

Some of you may have noticed the "Wicked Stangs Performance Shop" donation button and wondered what it means.

Many years ago, when I started the Wicked Stangs Mustang Club in Southern California, I had a dream of one day opening a performance and restoration shop called Wicked Stangs Performance Shop. It was something I talked about often with friends—a place where Mustang owners could hang out, work on cars, share ideas, and build some incredible projects together.

Life had other plans.

Between raising a family, serving in the U.S. Navy, building a civilian career, and everything else that comes with life, that dream never became a reality. While the shop itself was never built, the name has always meant something special to me, so I decided to keep it alive through the donation page that helps support this community.

Today, Wicked Stangs Performance Shop represents something different. Instead of a physical shop, it's helping keep StangFix running for Mustang enthusiasts around the world.

As many of you know, operating a forum isn't free. There are ongoing expenses including:
  • Web hosting
  • XenForo licensing and software updates
  • Add-ons and maintenance
  • Domain registration
  • Security, backups, and server costs
To help offset those expenses, I've added Google AdSense and the Wicked Stangs Performance Shop PayPal Donation Link.

Donations are completely optional, and there will never be pressure to contribute. Simply being an active member, helping others, and sharing your knowledge is already a huge contribution to this community.

If you do choose to donate, please know that every dollar goes directly back into StangFix to help keep the lights on and continue improving the forum for everyone.

The recent growth of our membership has been incredible, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who has joined, shared their projects, answered questions, and helped welcome our newest members. Watching StangFix come back to life has been incredibly rewarding.

Our mission remains simple:
  • Keep the focus on Mustangs.
  • Help fellow enthusiasts.
  • Share technical knowledge.
  • Show off our projects.
  • Build friendships that last for years.
Whether you're restoring a '65 Fastback, building a Fox Body, modifying an S650, or simply enjoying your daily driver, you'll always have a place here.

Thank you for supporting StangFix, for helping one another, and for making this community stronger every day.

Here's to many more years of Mustangs, great conversations, and keeping the hobby alive for the next generation.

Thank you for being part of the StangFix family!

Looks like the timing couldn't have been better. Thank you doing this. It already feels like my new home for online bull shitting.
