Thursday I will have my left kidney hooked back up to my bladder from a surgical mistake during the cancer removal in December. I will be out of work for at least a month and might just be able to finish the Mustang by the end of my leave. Most of the paint is complete now with the exception of the stripes and "HP 350" on the rocker areas. (I got tired of people thinking I didn't know it wasn't really a Shelby). The front valance and buckets need to be painted too. Thanks to the advice of Mustangers on the other site I have done a very good job painting her so far. The side vents are painted and cleared so I could do an article on how to restore them... my daughter dropped my Nikon so pictures are out for now with modern lenses. The 3 months of prep work before paint, day after day and going over the same places 5 or more times seems to have paid off. Is it me or do we all notice imperfections that will never go away? Some spots seem like they have a permanent hex. I hope do not drive anyone nuts over the weekend while I have nothing to do but sit in the hospital and use a lap top. W. White is such an easy color to paint by the way. The vents look awesome and took almost as much time as the car to paint and restore.
