My girls car gets hit...

i would think a pry bar would create even more damage. What do you pry against? or are you just pulling with it?

The boyfriend is ex, so no available head to use (until next time). On the prybar, I use a 24" with a nail puller to hook the nail head and then a 60" bar and brace it against the bottom of the rack and behind the small bar and then give it a pull. I could make up something better but by the time I made it (slide puller for nails), I will be long done. The car has to be positioned right on the rack for this to work. Crude but effective.

Just going to pass along a few things I learned to do on this repair. First is, I found it easier to lay the 10b nails almost flat against the surface of the car then engauge the trigger on the MIG and push the nail into the spot weld. You have to straighten it out before it cools though but it's easy to do. It was very easy to do once I got the hang of it. The payoff is it makes them a breeze to cut off with the whiz wheel. Also, I bought a used slide hammer for (20 bucks) and modified it to pull the nails. Its a little less clumsy than the two bars which works well but ties up both hands. I'm almost done with the metal (about 3 hrs) and starting to remove the paint.

With the expert help of one of my friends its finished (till the next go around). I think it came out pretty good. Also why I was into it, I installed a Chin Spoiler and rear Black out panel. As you can tell it put a smile on her face.
