Moist Black Soot on Startup

I need a little help girls. Looks like I am getting alot of black soot from the tail pipes when I start up the car. It is also kinda moist but I think that may be condensation. Is the soot the result of the carb running a little too rich? I need to get this ironed out if possible. The carb is an Edelbrock 500 CFM 4 barrel with an electric choke. it is currently set up the way the factory sent it. I have made no adjustments to it at all. Any suggestions?

You are running a too rich fuel mixture IMHO
Check if you choke works properly or does your carb floats.
Check your emission gases.

His carb floats just like his false teeth.

Check his gases? No thank you. He already stinks too much.

HHMMMMM. Moist Black soot on startup. If I remember right someone said Cmayna had that problem. But I think they also said his was in his pants upon startup. Sorry Craig I had to. LOL :) :) :)
