Members car collection

Right now I am down to the '79 TA and a couple daily drivers.

Mark keeps bugging me to buy the PT Cruiser but he hasn't offered enough yet :steer

I just sent an e-mail this morning to ask a few questions about a local 1989 5.0 Vert that looked interesting and might be priced right. Not in a hurry to get anything new...been looking but haven't found "the car" yet. Guess I'll know when I see it. Kind of kicking around getting a driver that with a little work would make a somewhat dependable daily driver.

All I have is my '66 coupe and 2003 GT daily driver.

Hope to have the front of mine in pieces here in a month or two...waiting for cooler weather but need to go through the motor, clean up / paint the engine bay, patch up (or replace) the core support, etc, etc.

That's part of the reason I am looking for a Mustang that doesn't cost a fortune and isn't a show car but would still be in good enough shape and dependable enough for cruising for now without having to use my triple A card.

These are definately much harder to work on then the Mustangs. This is an older picture, as the motor is now on the engine stand and the subframe is completely taken apart and painted. But this is what it looks like now for the most part.

I sold this car after I bought the Formula, because I wanted a 4 speed car.

Join the club.

I caught myself seriously considering yesterday selling the white '79 and buying a '72 Formula 4 speed that was for sale. I figured the spread in what it would cost me to buy and what I could sell for would be about the same or less then the expense of fixing up the '79....also, I was born in '72 so I've always kind of wanted a '71 or '72 model.

Dump that 79 and grab the 72 today. That is a no-brainer (provided the 72 is in decent shape).

Where is the 72 at. I am always on the look out for a 70-73 formula, and the 4-speed makes it even better. That is the car I actually want. One of these days there will be on sitting in the garage.

This will be a pretty wild little car. It has a built 360 in it, with push buttom auto. The car had sat for a few years, and we need to get it running good. We will be bring it back to house in the next week or so.

Appeared in the ad to be in decent shape. However, when I went looking for the ad this morning it was deleted by author. Thinking it was sold already....

Those early cars are much more desirable than the later birds. They are also less common. Grab one when you get the chance.

Yep...but it sold pretty darn fast. I did have a guy one time offer to trade me a '74 Formula for the Mustang but I took a pass on it.

This '76 seems pretty reasonably priced....
