Meet the other woman in my life

Many of you have named your cars, not wanting to be left out I have selected a name for my car, allow me to introduce Amber! She like most women is sensitive about her age but I can tell you she was born in 1967 with lovely Burnt Amber hair. The the years have been fairly good to her but like many women her hair has grayed with age, she is thinking of changer her color and becoming a candyapple red head! Like any good man I will support her in her decision I have been nursing her back to health for the past 4 months, new bumpers, seat covers and many engine parts. She does like for me to spend money on her and I love doing it! She makes me feel so young and happy that I am hooked on her. Please do not tell my wife!

Nice. Your secret is safe wih me. Most of us guys have a similar mistress and some of our wives don't care! :lol

agreed! and mine was a red head to begin with so she went with red again (along with a lot of plastic surgery!) They do look good in red but that Amber color would look real good freshly painted and not as common.

I know I am torn about the color, it is rare and there are tons of red Mustangs out there but I want it to pop when I look at it. Still on the fence.

My wife's ability to go through money pales in comparison to the other two in my life...

+1 on the color change. Try to see one with a fresh paint job before you commit to the change. Here's a picture of one that was in Mustang Monthly:

Unfortunately, this is the picture I Photoshopped a bit to remove the rocker moulding.

OK. thanks to Franks pic I was able to convence my 11 year old that Burnt Amber would be a cool color! Now Amber will remain true to her "natrual" color. Burnt Amber Metalic will be our color. Thanks to everyone for the input.

Great color decision!! I think it looks awesome. I am kinda partial to the pic Rick posted....that's HOT!

This one's not bad either....

Any idea who's car this is? I'm pretty sure the kid went to the University of Miami while I was there for law school. If it was in fact the same car that thing was bad and sounded like pure sexy time!

+1 vote for taking some styling cues from that car and keeping the color!

I think your correct, the kid is/was from Dallas but was going to school in Miami. It was painted in Dallas, he and I exchanged some PMs about the paint shop. He used to post on Pro-touring.com, thats where I got the pictures.

One of my best buddies while we were going to college had a 6cyl Amber lady many years back. A fine ride for sure. These pics you guys posted are really sensational. Love the color and relative low production in that color.

Found out today she is one of 5612 produced in 67!
14,323 Burnt Amber 67 mustangs 2.9% of total production
5,612 67 coupes with the 2F trim package 1.2% of total production
